Over 30 years ago our village was threatened with a development of a gravel pit between Cooks Lane and Whaddon Road.
A local action Group was formed to fight this proposal under the name Stop The Unwanted Mursley Pit ( STUMP). As you know the fight was successful and we don’t have a gravel pit in Mursley.
Not all the fighting fund that was raised was spent by the STUMP Group and in 2016 the remaining funds of £5,600 were transferred to the Parish council and subsequently distributed between the MSA Playground and the Village Hall.
